Lighter Fluid Fueling 1910 Ron son was granted a patent for a spark producing ignition system named the \u201cPits-o-liter\u201d and in 1913 manufactured a pocket lighter named the \u201cWonder lite.\u201d In 1928 Ron son secured a patent for the revolutionary single-action \u201cBanjo\u201d lighter, which offered both ignition and extinguishment in a single push.
